In the past year 687 Buffalo Catfish this big &amp; bigger were caught between Galveston Bay &amp;amp; the Shepherd bridge 3 miles west of the downtown Houston. Some smaller catfish have been caught as far west as the Voss crossing. Fishing is best on dark nights between 1 &amp; 4 AM so many fishermen wear night vision goggles &amp;amp; dark clothing. The big catfish pulled our boat down Buffalo Bayou for 20 minutes before we landed this 48 lb. monster when he tired. Notice the strong fishing line attached to the bait ball. The other end is secured to a forward cleat on our little Boston Whaler.
